Miss Sierra Leone USA Talks Miss Earth 2014 - Queens of Africa

Hello world!!!

I hope you and yours are doing well. I've been very busy but happy, thanks be to God! In this post, I'll be talking about the 14th edition of the Miss Earth pageant. Miss Earth 2014 will be held on November 29, 2014 at the University of the Philippines Theater in Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines. Miss Earth 2013 Tereza Alyz Henrich from Venezuela will crown her successor at the end of the event. The pageant´s theme this year is "promoting ecotourism which aims to raise awareness to the tourists and travelers regarding ecological conservation in order to directly benefit the economic development and to foster respect for different cultures and for human rights." Miss Earth is part of the Big Four international pageants: Miss World, Miss International, and Miss Universe.

FACT: Miss Earth Pageant: Beauties for a Cause is an annual international pageant promoting environmental awareness. The reigning titleholders dedicate their year to promote specific projects and often address issues concerning the environment and other global issues through school tours, tree planting activities, street campaigns, coastal clean ups, speaking engagements, shopping mall tours, media guesting, environmental fair, storytelling programs, eco-fashion shows, and other environmental activities.

Last year, the intelligent and beautiful Mariatu Dukuray represented the Republic of Sierra Leone at the pageant. She is the second woman to wear the Sierra Leone sash at this event; first was Theresa Turay in 2007. Unfortunately, Sierra Leone will not be represented at this year's edition of the Miss Earth Pageant.

Below is a list of the Queens that will be representing the continent at this year's Miss Earth pageant. Good luck to our African Queens. Make Mama Africa proud, ladies!
